Default 54 plate vectra c crash HELPPP

Ok so I decided not to abandon my car Friday night, so wile I'm digging out the rear of my car a 4x4 speeding down a steep hill hits another car sending both into us taking me under the rear my car wile I'm digging it out.. Had no time to react just went under the car up to my waist smashing my head on the floor.. My car slid 10-12ft back from the impact with me under it. Fantastic Friday night...

The car is a 54 plate vectra c 1.9 (150bhp) I won't to no if they will write it off I think they will damage is

    front bumper
    both headlights smashed
    fog lights smashed
    crash panel bent
    rear bumper - 1/4 need a respray
    pas fluid leaking
    steering nocking
    Front suspension nocking
passengers side rear wheel bearing grinding
engine check light ( spanner ) on

    Damage to me
    badly bruised ribs,
    bruised lungs,
I must of dislocated my shoulder but I don't remember doing that, as I spend 5mins in shock just laughing at nothing :/ my ligaments in my shoulder are shot from that.
    Badly bruised hip
    bruised lower back,
bruised neck and back of my head are killing
and I have also still got a headache iv basically got whiplash all over my body all are deep tissue injuries

Now on to the best bit the responding officers new the bloke who hit us it was his friend so
1; didn't breath test ANY driver ( we believe he was covering for him as he said to the officers out of th blue he hadn't been drinking But then they took him to one side to talk to him )
2; officers never checked for injured parties bare in Ming I told them my injuries
3; refused to give us the drivers who hit us details directly
4; said on there report form there where NO injuries and that we had his details!
5; backed up the speeding driver saying its not his folt and they helped him move his car!!

Iv logged a formal complaint but I won't to also no if its worth going to see someone to put a claim in against the responding officers for NOT following procedure

Dose anyone no what the book price is?
worst thing is I was in a layby when we got hit and 20seconds sooner I wouldn't be here as I was bent down in front of my car clearing snow for my front wheels

Ouch thats not good at all. As for your car being written off, thats down to the insurers. I cant believe the police skirted round so much, but id also ask why you never phoned for an ambulance yourself, then they couldn't have ignored your injuries?
From your list the only thing they did right was not give you the other parties details, they are not allowed too due to the data protection act, its up to the other driver to provide you with his details. However if you go through your insurance they will be able to get them through MIB. I have no idea how things work when there is snow like that on the ground insurance wise, if you have other witnesses that can confirm he was travelling too fast for the conditions you might stand a better chance making a claim against him.

Glad you're relatively OK. Doesn't sound good for the car though; just make sure you claim the compensation you're entitled to from the third party's insurer. A 4x4 in the snow still needs a driver with a brain - unfortunately most of them seem to be driven as status symbols and just turn into lethal 2 ton weapons piloted by people who feel invincible because they've got a 4x4. No offence intended to anyone on here with a 4x4; it's very unlikely any of you fall into the brain-dead driver category.

Ambulance was called out but would of taken 1hr to respond due to the snow, one passed on another call and stopped to check me over but couldn't take me to a A&E

the police have now given me his full details.

as for witnesses I have 5 before hitting my he hit another car as he tried to over take on the brow of a hill but lost control hitting her rear 1/3 then coming plowing into me at around 30mph

Holy crap mate, i would be buying a lottery ticket if i was you, As long as you have medical evidence to prove injuries sustained i would be claiming and i would also be doing what you are doing concerning the officers, i would not let that rest, law states you MUST drive according to conditions so if conditions mean you can only drive at 2mph and your over that your breaking the law! He clearly wasnt driving to conditions and should be charged with driving without due care and attention!. Dangerous driving! Causing injury!. He automatically should have been breath tested.

As for his details you will get them from police station they wont give them at roadside.

I would get a good lawyer and sue the police! Clearly not doing there job!

glad to hear your alive idiots. Like him should have their licence revoked for life seen no end of crashes this last week all due to not driving to the road and weather conditions you can usually tell a accident from a n#* head driver bythe damage caused to the motor but atleast you live to tell the story and I would be pursuing misconduct against the officer(s)
