Yeah I saw it hadn't been taxed for 5 years! I'm no closer to finding out where it might be though or confirmation that it's gone top the scrappy in the sky. It's a MK3 Cavalier Gsi 2000 in black.

I'd say it's still out there somewhere, the mycarcheck app for iphone will only return results if the car is still registered (i.e. not exported, scrapped, declared sorn etc). There may still be some hope.

Have you tried any specialist forums (not sure if there are cavalier ones?)

Can you not find out through an insurance check if it's still being owned ?

Because don't you have to be insured to have the car S.O.R.N. ed ?

the car isn't sorned though , date of liability is 1/11/2008 , so either the sorn or the tax expired the day before & nothing has happened since , presumably its been scrapped .

Unfortunately the logic does stack up though! Where does the point come where you don't have to declare it SORN?

I think SORN lasts 12 months and you either have to declare it again, or tax it. I would have thought the date of liability would be the date it was taxed up until?
