I have a starting problem with my vectra c 2003 2.0dti. It will start when facing downhill everytime but won't start sometimes when facing uphill. It has only just started doing this. I took it to the garage and they checked all the fuel pipes for leaks and replaced one piece of pipe. I took it home and left it overnight facing uphill and it started fine the next day. But then left it another 6 hours and it started then stalled immediately and wouldn't start again. I rolled it down to the flat left it an hour and after turning over the engine for 20 seconds it started.
From what I read people say change the leak off pipes but vauxhall want £24 for the pipe and £15 for connectors is this worth doing? . Also my garage said try changing the fuel cap as it may not be sealing, could this be the cause?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
