I think the haf can and full can differences may be an issue could be wrong tho, but I think with a few mods it may be possible as I think the displays can be converted to full and half can I think

The instrument binicales are different between pre-facelift and facelift. The pre facelifts have the LCD in the Rev counter, the facelifts dont so it's not possible to interchange between the two tbh.

Yeah, I've just changed from a 2004 Signum to a 2006 and I spent ten minutes trying to figure out why it was telling me the left rear door was ajar when it wasn't. My old car told me which door wasn't shut, this one just gives me the same warning (left rear open) regardless of which one it is. Yet another feature that is worse on the facelift!

The facelift for example only identifies one door open (same no matter what door) on the door ajar symbol - this however means anyone of the doors is open. The prefacelift actually identifies the door that is open and distinguishes between left, right and front and rear. 'Inspection' so I believe comes up on the CID/GID if I've read correctly but on the pre it comes up with the oil can and spanner symbol in the rev counter display highlighting a much needed service.
