    Default Vectra Headunit Enquiries

Hi I am jst wondering how you all cope with the standard vauxhall headunit, or if you have changed to a aftermarket headunit do you think it still looks good and have you got any pics.

I had the CDR2005 originally, but changed to this Sony unit with the connect2 box for the steering controls. Much better sound, plus original speakers are very good.
Sounds even better with a sub fitted

I was really happy with the sound from my VX headunit, until I fitted a Pioneer DEH-2820 MP in the wife's Vec B. Even with the standard VX speakers it sounds brill.

I will be changing mine now.

Don't even think about trying to upgrade to a VX sat nav system m8. Many have looked into it and the cost and problems involved made it a non starter

You can upgrade to an after market system with no problems, i did it on my old vec, i had a Pioneer DVD/TV/SAT NAV system installed.

Had a cdc 40 opera unit but no matter how a fiddled with it i couldnt get a nice natural sound , always sounded shrilly and harsh with no bass , so fitted a pioneer

just won a dab unit on e bay so i can listen to chill again soon ! just go to track the original dab unit down and see if i can plug the antenna into the pioneer

I don't know what unit I've got but I'm more than happy on the sound. Mines the one with a 4disc changer and a tape player.
