    Default Loose Wipers

Hi people, I know im still new and i have not yet introduced myself, but im hoping to do some car detailing tomorrow and get the pictures up of the car clean

Now my question is: my front windscreen wipers are very loose. When in operation they hit the a pillar and the bonnet making very loud annoying noise and marking the paint.. ive taken off the wiper arms to find that those little teeth in the holes where the arms connect to the motor mechanism.. (its hard to explain) are worn off, but i dont think thats the issue because the actual mechanism is really loos too so im guessing that must be the problem.. Has anyone encountered this before? ill try to get pics tomorrow so that i can try to explain it better.

The car is a 2.0dti sedan Elite.

Worn ball joints on the mechanism mate.

you can get new rods on eBay or if the wiper pivot is worn too. Probably best to get new mechanism

as above, just remove the nutcap, loosen the 13mm nut, prise the arm up off the spindle and set it where you want it to park...retighten the nut and replace the cap... easy job to do..

Don't forget to sign up to the Vauxhall / Masterfit Service Club. You will not only get a £40 joining voucher (might help pay for your wiper motor repair / replacement) BUT you will also then get 25% discount off either Parts, Parts & Service, or Both

Tried doing that but those ****** wipers swing loosely both ways, and when i re-adjust them they start hitting of each other, a pillar or the plastic part like in the thread you sent me.
