Cheers critch, reason i ask is being a tight arse i replaced a few months ago with a dirt cheap one off fleabay and iirc it was white cotton wool type fabric, my brother replaced his on his astra cdti recently and it was a corrogated paper type which got me thinking about renewing, is the genuine a paper type if you know what i mean lol?

    Default

If you are changing the Fuel Filter every 6 months / 10K miles, then an After Market version will be acceptable
If you are following the OE Service schedule, then you will need an OE Fuel Filter

An After Market Fuel filter has a plastic core
An OE Fuel filter is a cartridge
