    Hi i have a fuji hs10 bridge camera is it worth buying a lens hood ?

    Already replied to your PM, but the only reason for having a hood on a lens is to stop lens glare, so it depends entirely what sort of photography you're going to be doing.

    As above - if you don't have a problem with lens flare (ie light entering the lens from the side, not the field of view seen by the sensor), then you don't need one. Most bridge cameras have their outermost lens set back a fair way from the front and have moving lenses within the body, so it's less of an issue than on an SLR.
