Default Lads Detailing Day Part Two.

Phil arrived full of enthusiasem for part two, We had one heck of a storm in the night and it did cross my mine that we would not be abel to do phil,s car, but in the end the weather was not too bad. we gave phils car a wash down before we started then carried off from yesterday and put a coat of Megs step 2, then Megs #82 useing the Porta Cable [how that thing makes life easier]. Followed by Megs #21 sealent, that we put on by hand to ensure it went in all the fine places, Last of all we put a coat of Megs canuba wax. I then managed to put a second coat of Colinite 915 on mine.
We had a good laugh doing all the detailing and the results made the hard work very worth while. You could see the paint work getting smoother and more lush each time we put an other stage on untill the iceing was on the cake. then all our efforts were revealed in their full glory.........then it rained and some hail but we had done all we wanted to do so we were not disapointed. here are just some of the pictures I took to give you some idea how we got on with our detailing day.

Yes phil and I had a great day, It was apleasure to work with you and hopefully we will have another Lads Detailing Day in the future, See you at the Bowing meet phil.
PS. Sorry that all the photos are in reverse order, it would have been too easy to have done it the correct way round....

Well what can I say guys............this is your first time detailing, well as they say on TV " I don't beleeeeeeeeive it" going through the pics.....in the rite order ......you can see the cars getting better and better and they'll look even better in the flesh, well worth the wait you haven't disappointed it's especially good given the car's are silver as I was saying to Duncan the other day silver is a very difficult colour to get "the look".......cracking job well done Ed & Phil

    Bryan

PS it looks like there's afew neighbours car's round about could do with a going over........THIS AFTERNOON

They must think that I really am a fanatic now......... Not two Vectra,s on the drive But three. The curtians have been twitching a bit I think, Yes I recon we would have a full times job "going over" the neighbours cars too. One neighbour asked why we had red tape on the "chrome" window strip. I said it was to stop the polisher from making a mess of the "chrome" strip.
Mind you I bet they wish they either had the time or the interest to give theirs a good going over.A lot of them looked as they went past but maybe were afraid to ask what we were doing for two days, I wish they had asked then we could have explained how to detail a car properly...

First of all, i'd like to thank Ed for a great weekends detailing & hospitality.
Secondly, i'd like to say thank you to Larisa for letting Ed & myself 'PLAY CARS' all weekend !!!
The pictures don't do the cars justice as the weather turned just as we finished. You have to see them in the flesh to fully appreciate how good they actually look after all the hard work we both put in.
How would i describe the finished cars............AWSOME !
Ed, i can't smile wide enough mate. Got some admiring looks going back up the M6 i can tell you & had a couple of Vec b & c's slow down just behind me taking closer looks then flooring them past me ! SAD !
Ed, I'll catch up with you and Larisa next Sunday at the bowling meet.
    See you then.

Hi Phil glad you enjoyed the weekend of detailing. you know where my house is now. It is nice to see your efforts are appreciated when you get admiring glances from other motors, if only they knew the hard work and effort that went into that shine, not to mention the good fun, that was the best bit. Take Care mate.
