    Default Special Part Numbers

Went to the local stealers today to see if I could order a replacement "grey ventilation cap" (Special Part Number S-10574). Its a small cap that protects the vent hole of the Isuzu ECU on a Y30DT (2004) and is replacement part for field remedy 1887. The stealer told me that as it was a special part, not on his system, was too old and that he had no way of ordering it!
Does this sound true and if so how do you order parts that have "special part numbers"?

Here are some pics of the part. Sorry there not great but it gives an idea of where the part is. The grey cap is the cover and the little rubber filter part is inside the cap.

I've got an intermittant problem that only occurs when you really boot it! Goes into limp mode with a P0105 "pending" code, the spanner light comes on. This is to do with "barometric pressure". I've changed the MAP sensor and the hoses look ok.

Anyway, I've soaked the filter insert in carb cleaner for a couple of hours and it seems easier to blow through it each way, though it might be my imagination.

I haven't tested it yet as not really the weather to be booting it but thought I would change it anyway as I think it can only be a couple of quid, even from the stealers!

Attached is a pic of the "field remedy" that sounds exactly what my issue is.

Have you tested the boost solenoid?

is it same symptoms as mine its only when you have accelerator basically at wide open throttle and over 3000rpm

or when in high gear and cruising and out accelerator to full throttle?

had same symptoms started very intermittent then got to the point where I can now "create a permanent fault if I wish"

car can go all the way upto and probably past 120mph ( private testing off course) so long as its only part throttle

I've only done limited testing but replaced map sensor incase.

i originally thought possibly sticking variable veins. I also thought their was problems with carbon track on throttle pedal.

Are you able to copy what that field remedy states as u can't see it on pic.

hopefully i will get round to doing some testing. And report back.

Sounds like we have the same issue. I can create the fault, as you say, if I boot it past 3K in 3rd or 4th then it goes into limp mode. If I accelerate slowly then I can go all the way past 4K and NO limp mode!!

I haven't check boost solenoid as I don't know where it is! I'm just trying to check things bit by bit as even though it is annoying, I can live with it for the time being.

I've copied in the text from the field remedy.

Subject: Engine Y30DT, ECU - Blocked ventilation hole causing DTC P0105(52)

    Models: Engines: Option:
    Vectra-C 2003...2005,Signum 2003...2005 Y30DT,Y30DT

Complaint: SVS on and vehicle recovered in limp home mode, DTC P0105(52) set.

Cause: Blocked ventilation hole. The atmospheric pressure sensor is part of the ECU. If the ventilation hole is blocked for some reason the ECU can not ventilated, and above mentioned DTC will be set.

    Production:

    Remedy:
In case of customer complaint please replace grey ventilation cap (Specialpartnumber S-10574). Regular Service part is in release process.

    Please note:
Before the new cap is assembled please clean the area around the ventilation cap in order to avoid dirt to enter the ECU or to block the new ventilation cap. Most of the particles found during analysis were silicon wax based, therefore we kindly ask you to protect (wrap) the ECU in case of high pressure cleaning and additional treatment with motor wax (which is most likely silicon wax based).

    FunctionalGroup: J - Engine

Complaint Group: 23 - Wrong Indication

    Trouble Code: P0105 (52)
