    Default strange pulling

Traveling back from work tonight the roads were slippy due to the snow but I noticed the car wanted to go in its own direction what I mean by that is steering wheel is straight but the car felt like it was pulling left then right. Cars booked in for. Wheel alinment friday because the outer wheels on the front are going bald so you don't think its got anythink to do with this? Can't say its happened before only noticed tonight on the snow

Regular wheel alignment is a good thing - a lot of handling issues (most handling issues?) are solved by a good 4-wheel alignment.

    Two things to consider:
    1) Are BOTH front wheels going bald on the outers? In towns with a lot of roundabouts (Milton Keynes, for example) you generally get the outer shoulder of the nearside tyre wearing quickly due to all the turning right.
    2) If it was fine before the snow, and is fine after the snow... it's probably due to the snow! What tyres are you using, and how much tread do you have left on them? If you have mismatched tyres, they can be a lot more mismatched in the snow. Especially on a driven axle.

I'm actually used to it. Added a power box and tweaked the turbocharger so getting a real kick in the ass (but a lot of smoke, unfortunately), and yes, the outer wheel is pulling harder if you steer even very slighly, and that's actually normal, considering the poor differential design, but it can be anticipated very easily once you're aware of it. Also note wider tyres enhance this effect (so with huge torque and wide tyres, I'm actually cumulating the bad effects )

The outer wheel actually receives almost ALL the torque with the factory design, that's why you're experimenting this. In fact, unless you'd manage to put the wheels strictly parallel, it behaves as if the car pulled with only one wheel all the time ! Maybe checking your geometry could still help it a bit, anyway.

The true solution would be to replace the factory one by a Quaife limited slip differential, allowing the torque to be proportionnally applied to each wheel, but it's far from free (the F35 one apparently commonly sells about US$ 1,000). :P Now if I get enough money some day, I'd seriously consider doing it, since I'm intending to keep the Veccy at least another 10 years. Along with a stage 3 ceramic paddle clutch, as the factory one absolutely can't handle the torque.
