start with the passenger door switch 1st,only 4 SMD's in it,just be carefull, take your time,a good temprature controlled soldering iron too,a pair of tweezers & maybe 1 of those 'helping hand' thingys off fleebay
on some of the door switches the smd's are glued aswell so they can be a bit tricky to remove, when you goto replace them try not to hold the soldering iron on the end of the smd for too long.................they dont like a lot of heat, anything else give me or marc sri a PM fella

Whs mate the passenger door switch can be tricky as its glued aswel as solderd on. You just got be careful with boards that have plastics on them ie the heater panel has 4 plastic switches touch them with the iron and u will need a new heater

Marc ive done 50% of mines now but im gettin rear electric windows so im not doing my drivers door yet untill I get the switch for it, I had read some where they were glued, I found out they were glued on the pasenger switch but r they glued on the drivers door as well??

I would say the heaster panel is the easyest to strip two clips and its off lol

And to the op its is quite easy, seems daunting at first but once uve done it ure like was that it lol, but the steering wheel controls are hard they are the wee tiny ones I think the headunit is too but ive got a aftermarket in. Just use somthing like a 15 watt iron and use as little heat as possible as it dus them in as I found out :-)

No just the passenger one is glued on and the rear ones Heater is the easiest one to do as it does just clip off

TBH all the switch clusters have their intricacies. I think the easiest are the clocks. Plenty of room to work, Nice big board and the LED's are nice and big. Hard to get the wrong way round too.

Thats good. Why did they glue them?? Ano thats what im saying I stripped everthing down to see what I needed so I could order them.

And too answer everyones question I think it would cost for the leds about 30 to 50 quid u need about 60 to 80 mabe more leds depending what ure doing and spares

My GID screen took what was is mark 34?? So thats a big chunk. And if u were wanting to do ure head unit ive been told its somewhere in the region of 43 so again dependa what u have and what u want to do, u can get new dails too as I have from a wesite called xtuners.com

Headunit well the CD 30 think was 24 leds gid is 34 or leds the Speedo is the easiest due to the amount of room was tricky for me to remove them off my mate's bit soon got it took me 15 mins from start of removal to finishing amd refittimg. Also I'd say be careful on drivers switch as there is two plastic switches for the mirrors and the led sits right next to it
