    Default Does this weather affect the mpg?

    Evening All, I've noticed that i'm now down to 26.1mpg for my town driving in my 06 1.8 vec and not amused as was getting that out of my 325 and got rid of that for better mpg. Is the drop down to the snow etc.

    yeah colder more dense air means you burn more fuel, warm air is better for economy.. Turbos love cold dense air...

    Noticed this is the 1.9cdti over the last few days, was mid forties last week and down around 38mpg this week in the cold

    My 1.8VVT was doing about 41mpg over the summer, has dropped to about 37mpg over the winter though.

    I have a 2.2 and getting 26 at min, but I drive it like a fairy mainly and its only few mile to work, barely gets warm...

    Good 31/32 in the summer...

    I've not had 37mpg out of mine since i swapped the mpg units over on the BC. I thought it was the car at first. Been sat on the trader then saying its got to go as can't be bothered with this mpg for not much speed but stopped that now and love it again haha

    My 3.0 Signum auto has averaged 34mpg over the last 1400 miles,if that's going to get better with warmer weather then it's happy days!!
