    Default Z19DT EGR Blanking Help....Please

Well... Today i blanked my EGR off.......

I also cleaned that lil boost sensor thing on rad, and cleaned boost pressure sensor on back of inlet manifold...

Now.. it rev's alot more freely... but slugish when going from idle to around 2.5 then picks up were as before it was other way round?

Any idea why this is.???? tbh.. i preferred as it was before lol. Thanks

Just to confirm, now you have blanked your EGR, it has lost low down power before 2.5K?

Is everything tightened up properly, assume you now have the spanner/emissions light on now?

Is it a full blank? Looking at your other posts, it seems your EGR might be faulty, do you still get the soot on the outside of the expansion bottle?

And not had a chance to see if its still leaking, to which is dont sound like it is any more...

Was it a full blank, or one with a hole?

It sounds like the EGR may not be sealing properly, you could fit another blank to the exhaust inlet side to rule that out - seems odd that its made it more sluggish.

Yes it was a full blank yes. Will that do anything then by blocking that other bit of as well?

Normally when an EGR seals up ok, when its blanked the manifold gets no EGR gasses and the exhaust fed has nowhere to go and basically ends up only going out of the exhaust, if your EGR doesn't seal then blanking the exhaust side could still mean the manifold has (in essence an air leak) or blanking the manifold side would mean exhaust gasses are leaking - blanking both stops them.

I'll be honest, I am led to this based on your other post saying that something had been blowing crud onto your expansion bottle (where the EGR is), so may not be the case.
