    Trim : sri

    Engine : 1.8 vvt (XE18XER)

    Year : 2008

    Mileage : 28,000

    Default 1.7 cdti

will not tick over when cold, must use throttle, fuel filter change, injectors pressure tested, no leaks in system, when holding revs at 1000-1500 rpm engine is hunting, looking for fuel , tested system for fuel pressure and is reading 18m, instead off 24-29m , when hot engine runs smooth, any help welcome.

Problem solved, running smooth again, vauxhall dealer should listen some times they might learn its not always the expensive parts that need replaced, tech 2 does not show every thing ,it cannot be that part , yes it was.

SCV :- fuel pressure valve for denso pump, fits on side of pump , common fault on this pump , vauxhall did not know this , they do now! Found answer on corsa web site & you tube, easy! They wanted to fit new common rail with sensor £500 fitted .

    Typical stealer mentality.

Few years ago I bought a 2 year old high mileage Astra that was sold cheaply because stealer reckoned it needed a new ECU.

New vacuum pump was what it really needed!
