    Default Harry TV interview

Anyone seen it? Or the dissection on This Morning?
I can understand why he is unhappy with the Press, he's been under scrutiny since he was born and saw his mother hounded. Although the naked/hotel incident was of his own. bodyguards making (not confiscating cell phones/checking strangers better) the Press, if they though of highlighting the security issues, could have taken a very different line.
To me, he came across as a young man who has found his role, confident in himself, certainly no glory hunter (press accusation). He was asked if he'd killed - stupid question, he's weapons man on an Apache on active service.
I noted when an alert sounded, he ripped the mic off and ran to his post.

I think he is doing his part for the country and should be left alone to get on with it!! He is out there, alot of people would never dream of joining the forces or fighting for his country.

All young people get up to daft party games and whilst the naked pool might have been unwise, it is no worse then what other youngsters get up to. the press should respect peoples privacy!!

To be honest I dont get it. As I see it him being there means we are employing more men to help protect him (at tax payers expense) and putting these men in more danger then they already are. Seems a bit selfish of him to me.

I am happy for someone to convince me otherwise, but thats how I see it at the moment.

I agree with everything you have said but I have to think that the last bit where he ran off was staged/arranged for the interview - but I do admire him and what he is doing. The only reason he needs extra protection is that the press continually publish where he is and what he does - he would obviously make a good trophy for the enemy and thats why he needs protecting.

Not arguing that he doesnt need protecting, im just questioning if him being there is actually doing any good other than making him seem more "normal". If he wasnt there the others involved would be at less risk, and it would cost the tax payer less.

I do see your point - but by not sending him on the grounds he would be a target would surely be classed as a victory to the other side - but yes as well as putting him at risk a lot of others are also put at the same risk, and now he has said he has killed people he will probably need more protection for the rest of his life, even when he has finished in the army.
