Not as far as I know and if I remember correctly, the turbos are basically the same just the 120 has a smaller exhaust turbine.

The core is the same, so you could transpose the manifold.

Yes, the manifolds are different and are cast with the turbine housing as one solid block.

So if you really want to do that, you'll have to dismantle your original turbo to swap the housings...

Honestly, if you're going to do that, and provided you didn't break a turbine and you don't have play on the axle, you'd better just buy a cheap repair kit, dismantle your turbo, change the bronze sleeves and all gaskets, clean up the caked vanes and you'll have it refurbished for almost nothing.

Since the hardest part is to dismantle and reassemble the whole thing, you should either repair it completely by yourself, or just buy a proper model.

If you are changing the bearings it needs a new compressor nut and rebalancing on a VR machine.

Dismantling just the turbine from the housing/manifold it a fairly striaght forward job and requires no rebalance but they can become quite well wedged in and some experiance of seperating the two can preven damage.

I had someone smash the bearing housing to pieces and crack the manifold trying to seperate the two.

Gasp ! Yeah, bad luck. I still have to try and refurbish my old one, that has completely caked vanes and badly seized axle, but no play at all. Hope I'll be able to dismantle the whole thing without breaking it !

Note that this turbocompressors should have no bearings. They all use brass sleeves and the axle rotates on an oil film brought from the pan by the oil pump.

Actually I might have killed mine because I was loosing too much oil. Of course, one can consider the oil leak might have come from the worn sleeves (kinda egg and chicken problem ), but since I'm still loosing oil (though much less now I changed the turbo), I think my engine is just old and tired... Plus it's damn hot here, and a lot of oil comes up from the crankcase anyway. I even gave up with the oil catch can and plugged back the breather into the intake, as I had oil sprinkled everywhere under the bonnet ! I'll add a GM Vectra B / Omega oil separator soon in an attempt to suck a bit less oil into the intake.

I'm now checking the oil level more often, avoiding to wait for the alert lamp to light up before adding some...
