My car performs fantastically in these conditions with Tc and all of the other toy it has. Ive passed, pulled over and dug out many a stranded motorist. They just look on in amazement when i cruse passed effortlessly. Then I stop and get my shovel out the back to dig them out. My first/previous Signum performed much the same.
Ive never once needed the shovel for the siggy as of yet.

Siggies handle well I think cos the rear wheels are quite near the end of the car so there's very little weight overhanging.

Have to second that....drove to the station this morning in pretty deep snow and lots of ice and felt very safe. Even when I stopped in an uphill lay-by in deep snow the car moved off without incident.......obviously lots of flashing of ESP going on but thats to be expected!

Probably down to the tyres, the kumho's I have are useless in the snow (to the point you can't move!) However the budget tyres that came on the front of the car were great in the snow years ago.

Are you sure your Veccie has TC. Not all facelift models came with it as standard mainly only the V6 or highly spec'd 4 cylinder engine'd cars did as far as I'm aware.
