Default Help. vectra c clutch problem

    Hi
I recently had the clutch and dmf replaced along with the slave cylinder
The problem i have now is that i dont get the same biting point, I mean that most of the time i depress the pedal the biting point is in a different place. The pedal also sticks sometimes and also sometimes is very light to press
I replaced the master cylinder yesterday bled the whole system and its still the same ???
Had it back at the garage and they claim that when they took it out on a test run everything was fine.
Any help on this matter would be grateful before i go back to the garage kicking off

    Thanks John

they can claim what they like.. take it back and say you want it looking at....

IF they don't its time to name and shame, start with you local trading standard and local newspapers... but give them a chance to sort it first..

we had a similar problem with a 2.0 dti vectra C , apparently the slave cylinder was a cheap one & they don't work as they should .

I had the same problem after clutch/dmf/csc change. Took it back several times but they said it was fine on the test drives. Eventually they changed the master cylinder (at my expense) but still the clutch would disappear to the floor. It seems to only happen now under hard acceleration and even then only rarely. I don't know if its something to do with sharing the hydraulic fluid with the braking system(?) but I'm sick of going back and forwards to the garage to be told there's nothing wrong with it.

Reading other threads on here it seems to be a common problem but still remains a mystery as to what causes it.

If it isnt right, take it back for them to sort it out.

Otherwise they could use the same excuse for doing any job? Just imagine if it was your brakes, well they worked when we test drove the car, really can you therefore explain why they didnt work when I rammed someone else up the backside??
