Default preface parts on a facelift question, rear vents and middle headrest

father in law has just bought a 2008 vec c sri, loves it, but noticed a few things our 2003 sri has that his hasnt, mainly the centre headrest, and the rear vents inbetween the front seats blowing into the back, he just has a cubby hole

are these able to be added to his easily or is it not worth the hasstle? i have felt on top of the rear seat and it has 2 hard round bits like what a headrest would go into, but cant feel a hole in the middle of each of them to slot the headrest in?

how about the vents? is it not worth the hasstle?

Remove the centre console add the pipe between the air box and the armrest replace the armrest base and done probably need to make the whole in the air box.
You need to buy the inserts for the headrest to fit into find the centre of the hard bit and make a cut and push the inserts in the centre headrest has shorter tubes but outside ones can be cut down.

You need to swap the whole air handling unit from behind the dashboard to make this work mate. I hoped there was just going to be a blanking plate when i did mine too, but nope nothing, just a hole. I eventually swapped my arm rest over to the one with a small storage holder.

Taffy as paul says the head rest is easy, heres the how2

I pushed my hand as far up as it would go, couldn't feel anything. My thought was the same as yours, hopefully just punch a hole through. You'd think it would have been cheaper just to make a plastic blacking plug than a different air handling unit. Bloomin cost cutting!!!!

i have a 2008 sri and ive had to fit all the things the preface had.

ashtray light, cubby hole, auto dimming mirror etc.

its unbelievable what vauxhall left off the facelifts so they could save some cash

    Eek

i noticed the same, our preface has the cubby hole under light switch, rear vents, rear headrest, rain sensor, tinting mirror, light that shines down from the mirror, plastic cubby holes in the boot, the centre arm rest in the boot has a tray table opening, thats just the things i have noticed so far, his 2008 has none of these, only thing i can see that his has over ours, is illuminated sunvisors and a rear roof light,

most of the bits of his car, if you didnt know what the older ones have you wouldnt notice, but the plastic cubby hole in the boot just takes the mick lol, you open the driver side flap, and you just see bare metal of the inner wing
