    Default Glow plug recommendations

Not been using the car alot the last week and shes been out in minus conditions without a start, got in her thurs and she really struggled to start, sounded like she was missing a cylinder then a puff of white smoke out the back lasting a few seconds. Now im guessing plugs could be shagged, just wondered if anyone had any recommendations?

normally if a plug fails it will put the light on , could always test them in place before shelling out for new ones.

Mine does exactly the same. No spanner light, then once the smoke clears, it runs fine...

Just push the plastic tabs at the top, nearest you. A bit fiddley but you'll get it no problem. I just used 2 screwdrivers at each side, pushed in and pulled up. If you do need to change I use NGK and never had any problems with them. Don't use cheap ones as although they might work ok the problems start when replacing them again as they can snap very easily when removing. Also if you are replacing them, plenty of WD40 and patience's, spray the WD40 and leave it for a while and loosen off and then tighten up a bit to get the WD into the threads, plus do it while the engine is warm as they will be easier to remove

ha ha, I know mate..I was bricking it doing mine as I didn't know how long they were in there for. Just take your time and try not to lose it, if it cracks you up take a walk for 5 mins and contemplate on getting a garage to do it, at least if they screw up it's them who have to sort it.

Try to use a tool that evenly applies pressure rather than a ratchet, I used this the remove mine, can be threw together with most half decent socket sets
