Hiya my polisher has decided it doesnt want to work today. Was fine last time i used it but did notice it was cutting out thinking it might be a loose connection or something? The carbon brushes were recently changed and havent worn so cant see that being the problem. Has anyone had any loose connections on theres thats worth checking. I have owned it for quite a while so out of warrenty. When i switch it on i can hear power around the back near the speed control setting.

Mark sounds like your,s has suffered a similar fate to mine . the trouble with mine was the on /off switch broke inside apparently the plastic shunt,s wear and cause the contacts to lift up causing them to go dis or in my case the contacts lifted and bend themselves causing them to arc and short out
    Driving vauxhall,s for 30 + years

Sounds like it mate as the button doesnt seem to "click" anymore into place it just slides back and forth. Is it fixable or is it bin job then?

of course its fixable matey, what it depends on are you able to do it yourself or its can get expensive and not worth doing if you take it in to be done.
