    Default Fitting Bonnet Vents

OK I've decided to go down the route of fitting bonnet vents, not to everyone's taste I know but I've seen a couple of Vecky's on here and I think they look awesome.
The only problem is this is not a job I fancy doing myself, I cut myself shaving so cutting my car is not something I would excel at. I am based in Ipswich but don't mind travelling a bit, does anyone know of any body shops that may do this work ?
I've contacted a couple locally but they don't seem that enthusiastic.

if you use functional vents then they need to placed further forward on the bonnet to where others have been placing them. There is higher pressure at the rear half of the bonnet (which is why the vents for taking air into the cabin were usual placed up there), the low pressure area is towards the front of the bonnet in the first half but only in a narrow band.. They do there job is coupled with an undertray and draw thew air out make the intercooler work more efficiently..

However if you just after the cosmetic look then chuck them wherever you want.... very few peeps will know about placement and how they really are supposed to work..

Thanks guys, I definitely want cut in vents (not stuck on), I've heard you need to be careful where they are placed so there's no water getting in where it shouldn't. If possible I want to avoid cutting into the bonnet strutts incase I compromise the strength of the bonnet. No way am I going to attempt this myself, so it's got to be a body shop job I guess. I've seen some placed high and some placed lower down.
I'm going for Focus RS Mk2 vents.

I think Spoons on here did some escort vents... You could try search for his threads, but I'm pretty sure he had some form of meltdown and wanted all his pics removing

I had louvres cut into my old Vec B V6 bonnet, at CoolLouvres on the south coast, excellent job and did the job they were supposed to do.

I dont have a better pic cos my PC melted and took everything with it ..lol.. but you can make them out on this picture.. you can choose how many you want and where..£5 a louvre
