Wink 3.0 d Oil filter housing

Hi guys anyone know where I can get the above for a 2003 signum ? Been quoted £60 from stealer and ill have to wait over a week as none in the country !! Basically the threads on the sump plug have striped . Iv used ptfe tape and lots of metal glue as a temp measure !! Seems to being holding ok but really need to replace it for piece of mind . Even if there is a 3.0 d being scraped , can't find anything . Do any other cars have the same housing ? Rubbish design you don't even need a sump plug there you just remove the whole housing for a filter change !

Any advi ce / help would be great .

cost 20 quid for local engine shop to re tap it and fit new bolt

Didn't think the alloy would take that , must be ok if yours has lasted. Luckily I noticed the engine noise and oil light coming on and turned it straight off could have been expensive .

Mine stripped thread when I first bought the car. 2 years ago.

I was in same position. And tried to do it as a short term repair.
but bloke in engine place assured me it wouldn't need replacing. And it's best to just undo the whole filter base. As they see a lot of problems like that.

been 38k and about 6/7 oil and filter changes since and still going good.

well after a temp fix of metal glue and ptfe tape i managed to locate a whole new filter housing . The SAAB 3.0d is pretty much the same engine and found the housing' buy it now' on ebay for £29.99, bargin compared to £60 plus vat from vauxhall ! Thanks again for all your help
