Default Swmbo possibly getting company car, which one?

Well my wee wife's hard work may just be starting to pay off and the possibility of a nice new toy for me,erm company car for her sorry is on the cards, she really wants an Audi a4,I'd like an insignia bi turbo vx line red but its her choice this time, she does a fair bit of travelling and it needs to be comfy and safe for her ,I've been looking at a4 brochure and the technic spec with 143bhp diesel seems to be a good one, anyone got any alternative ideas or thoughts cheers

Audi is a great car, however an Insignia elite 2.0 CDTi ecoflex s pennies in tax, the Astra GTC SRi 1.7 CDTi 130,

She does like the insignia but they have a couple of guys in the office that have them and they have been problematic and that's putting her off a bit tbh

Not heard of any real problems with the Insignia. These days the bottom line is the runing costs to you and your wife, low tax band. If it does happen to be problematic at least you will not have to pay the repair bills.

It comes down too precious cargo John and as a couple of guys in her company have got insignias and have had probs,I'm reluctant to let her travel in anything that's not 100 per cent reliable

Not heard of any reliability problems, but I know what you mean Mark. No doubt some of the members who have Insignia's on this site wil be able to give you some advice.

Pretty much al of our company car drivers have A4's and we work in the automotive industry! The one that does the most mileage though is a Passat and that hasn't missed a beat. The 2 litre turbo diesel engine is a cracker, but then most of them are these days!

We have a huge fleet of Insignia's at our work and they have been super reliable, can not fault them. Audi A4s are ok, but an A6 is much nicer. Avoid the s-line, the suspension set up is far too hard.
