    Default vectra 2003 resister

    hi guys please help me here i found out my fan resister was not working due to water in passenger well i sorted that out and got another resister tried to fit it but would not clip in eventually i found that holding the clip on the left the groove at the top was in a different position and can find any that the groove is on the right all the ones i find the groove is in the middle i have added a picture to help you understand any help will be much appreciated.

    I picked up one a couple of weeks ago, to fix the wife's bosses car, his is a 2003 and the one that has come out of his car is the same as the bottom one in your picture.
    A look on ebay shows both listing for the vec. When you try to fit it, when you put it in the hole you are pushing it to the left?

    yes im trying to but it is not sitting properly so it will not push to left. Is there 2 different types for the vectra c then?

    Just get a junior hack saw and make it the same as the old one, had to do this to mine took 5mins to do.

    Its what everyone else does with the cheap ones, unless you buy the £20 odd ones that do the same job.

    i was told that but i thought it wont clip in right or possibly damage it it works ok by hacksawing it then

    You can use what ever will cut through the plastic without causing damage to the resistor or your self, as for the clipping in part I have had mine in now for a couple months now with no problems.

    hi guys i just been told the resister is different even if i cut the plastic to fit or are they the same resister
