That horrible moment.....

Having had water pump failure earlier in the week and only just averted disaster by breaking the timing belt, I spent today replacing belts, pumps and so on only to be faced with that horrible moment when all was back together and I had a bolt left! Half an hour of panicking and trying to figure out where the hell it came from I realised.....oh I replaced the bolt in the pulley....

So all was good, then I had horrible moment no.2 when I realised.... I'm finished! Going to have to start the thing now! What if I did it wrong? What if pistons meet valves???
Then I pulled myself together again, strapped on a pair and all is good! Welcome back veccy!!!

Good to hear it went well. Personally I would always pay someone just in case lol.

Ah, but the deeply smug moment is always twice as long.

I've done four belts on three different cars now, and there is always that slight worry

I did the same, still got a bolt left but its short and not off the pulley... still running tho lol

Check out how off square the impellar is on the pump. A very lucky escape me thinks!
