    Default Cree 501 lights

Has anyone tried these in their veccy? They are amazing bright and meant to be the next generation after LEDS.

    Any flickering or canbus errors?

I tried a similar "ceramic" type, looked same minus the metal and it was a 180' pattern too... Went back to multiple smd ones, not worth it IMO...

Not really the next generation after leds. The Cree devices ARE leds, albeit bright ones.

What made me laugh was the following from that eBay listing you mention:-

If you want different bulbs specify it at the ebay checkout (in "add massage" box)
(or send me a massage straight after purchase)

Both canbus and flickering. Tried them as reversing lights, while they were brilliant they strobed constantly, made me look even more like a cop car

I bought some of these. Aside from flashing when I set the alarm as per the bulb checking, they're pretty bright. I'll try get a picture of them when i stick my HID's in over the weekend

I bought one pair of these 5W CREE bulbs from eBay for about £20 (UK) and another pair from China for £7.

Both gave the same problems, flashing with or without the engine on. But they were very bright. I used them as reverse bulbs.

The UK seller gave me a refund and said the majority of his buyers with Vauxhall's had the same problem, but China never refunded me

All LED flickers in canbus cars unless they got decent resistors in them.
