Default usb stick in the Insignia

Question for Insignia drivers, has anyone loaded a usb stick and use it for albums played on the car hifi? I see some cars that just take albums loaded straight onto it others such as the Audi I was in today need an itunes type package

I know the one I had on hire had a USB plug under the arm rest and it could play my ipod, it came up with title track album and could scroll through playlist and all the usual controls the iPod has.
As for internal memory no idea.

It reads off the usb. Limited to 1000 tracks though. I use an 8gb stick in mine. Doesn't play folders/albums, just all tracks if you know what I mean? It does searches on album, artist, song name etc, and also folders, then seems to play all the songs off the stick. Mind, I've not been near the instructions, so it may play folder by folder.

Use microsoft media player. Format usb first then select usb on media player then add music to it. Perfect :-)
