K&N or BMC panel filter????

Hi guys, need abit of advice, which panel filter is better?
& what's the quickest place to purchase?

Now.... I have nothing to back this up, its just my view/thoughts but are these worth it on a diesel?

Aside from potentially contaminating the MAF sensor (if over oil'd I suppose) do they offer any benefits? I am not so sure.

I actually had a closed induction kit on my previous CDTi and it sounded awesome, but any actual benefits.... hmmm.
