Frozen washers!!!

Right, -8 degrees this morning and my washers are frozen. I've got undiluted screwfix concentrated screen wash in and it's still forzen.

Suggestions anyone...?

take it out and go to halfords get the good stuff mine doesnt freeze until -34 or something according to the bottle and you can get lemon scented and things like that

It happens to me often in winter, and it's the end of your nozzle that freeze up, as water penetrates it from outside, it usually defrosts as your engine warms up, but sometimes it needs to be running a few miles depending on the severity of frost and temperature.

Use 25/50 to 1 in winter.
Makes 25 litres for Summer use.
Even has a tiny hole in the top to use neat as a de-icer direct to windscreen.
£5 a bottle which lasted all of the bad winter 2 years ago (it was -14 where I live).

still wont stop them freezing as they are on heated when the car is on and then they have to get up to temp

Its the wind chill when driving that freezes the normal jets, if its -5 outside at 50mph the wind chill temp is -45, as long as the fluid remains fluid in the washer bottle heated nozzles will keep the jets clear, what happens when it hits the windscreen, of course, is a different matter.

i ment when the cars sat over night it may freeze in the pipes going to the jets if the weathers extreme and you havent got good screenwash

A bloke at work has just recommended Comma XStream screen wash which is ok down to -65 allegedly, £3.99 per l at Halfrauds, so I'm off to get some.
