    Default Timelapse photos

I read ina magazine a way of getting some nice effects is a car at night. En route to my interview in Luton I had a go:

You need a tripod tied into hte car and a cable release to operate the camera safely.

This last one is the Astra VXR and Vec 2.2 SRi enroute to 888 that I saw next day at 888!

Yep, you can get some nice effects that way.

You'll have probably seen a number of car shots like this.....

...where they use (kinda) the same sort of technique, but reversed so to speak. A rig attached to the car (a long boom basically) and the car is pulled slowly on a long exposure. Car remains sharp but background goes all nice and blurry.

    There's your next project Brocks!

These are at dawn so the light was a little Bluer...

    D. Lend me a Boom!

I did couple where I tried to keep the car in front the same distance to achieve the impression of 1 car infront of me in all that Choas but no good!

I tried some in the dark to but it was just red and white light. I needed some other colours in there to make it more interesting!

Been trying to find a pic of the sort of boom used for that type of shot, but I can't for the life of me find one! Some come in carbon-fibre and they are mega $$$$ i.e. six figures!! They attach to the underside of the car and then a boom sticks out that the camera attaches to. The construction of the boom arm looks a bit like those cranes you see on building sites - the 'T' shaped ones.

I want to get some of these sort of clamps....

to do some more on-car photography. I saw a place at Trax last year (scroll down) that I want to look at again as they had a great selection.

Of course, you could go and do your own DIY boom!!
