Default Poor Ground causing dimming bulb

for a while ive had an intermittent bulb (out warning) light on the dash, its one of the rears in the boot lid left hand side as you stand at the rear, the stop light. but its really dim not actually gone.

Am i looking at a bad ground somewhere, i've tried varying things to get the light on/off on the dash but can't sus it, any ideas

    Cheers

It could still be a bad bulb, swapping all the bulbs from one side to the other will pinpoint the fault to the bulbs or the light fitting.

they share a common ground so it wont be that..

Probably a dodgy bulb holder, so maybe a replacement bulb holder assembly for that side.

Have you removed the bulb and physically checked bulb holder.

fairly common for a bulb holder to build up resistance due to corrosion. 2 mins with some emery cloth and it'll be sorted.
