Z19DT EGR Blanking Help....

As above please....

Can anyone point my in right direction of what i need to do this?? I dont want it on there as its annoying me and its blowing from around that area somewhere as the coolent tank is sooted up lol...

So just a link or some links as to what blanking bits i need, and also how do i get rid of EML as id imagine it would be on. Thanks in advance....

If the coolant is contaminated it sounds like something other than an egr problem.

No its not contaminated, its all soot on the outside of the header tank, not inside....

I think he means the outside of the tank is sooted up as he states there is something blowing in that location in the engine bay - which makes sense as that is where the EGR valve is located.

It's possibly a faulty gasket not sealing properly. Follow the how2 for egr cleaning (for guidance on removing). If yours is the 120 the valve is different but the principles are the same blanking wise.

So basically.... i leave it connected... with the blanking bit on there...(exhaust side) if i unplug alltogether, it will be better... but have a EML on??? Untill i get it mapped out?

Happy days, ive bought 1 then.... lets get this done, isit worth taking it off to clean prior to putting back on as such??? and then leaving plugged in??
