    Default No reaction to accelerator

    I need everyone's help as my car developed faults today and I need my Vectra everyday and now it won't rev and idle revs are 1400 and fallowing faulty show:

    P0400 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit High Voltage
    (01) - Present

    P0110 - Charge Air Temperature Sensor High Input
    (11) - Present

    P0651 - 5V Reference Circuit 2 High Voltage
    (05) - Present

    Check the voltage at the battery with engine running. When my alternator failed, the exact same thing happened - random faults, high idle, and no accelerator

    Also try disconnecting EGR and MAF and see if it works

    Sounds like a faulty egr and maf sensor

    I disconnected them and it makes no difference. How did you know alternator was faulty?

    First indication was the battery light showing on the dash board, and 8 volts at the battery with engine running. Got it towed home after it stopped. Jump started, battery voltage was down to 4 volts and the accelerator had no effect at all. New alternator fitted, jump-started, and all was fine
