    Default Vauxhall Rip Offs

    not sure if this is the right place to put this but.. I currently drive a corsa b as its my 1st car and my clutch cable snapped the other day got it sorted out 4 about 25 quid and that included the cable but i got quoted 20 quid for the cable and 100 fittin by vauxhall.

    what problems have you lot had with the vecs and how much have you been charged to get it fixed

    well i know this is sacrelidge but the other week i had my break pads done for mot £83 later now thats a rip off(i know mark before you say it)it was only the two rears aswell ...

    The price for the cable is right..and the labour is about the price of 2 hours, a bit long but not too excessive... not so much a rip off, i know what you payed but you had pattern parts fitted for that price, so not a direct comparisom..

    If you want to stick with VX, then you pay for their time.. the best thing you can do is learn how to fix your own cars then you just pay parts, so then buying quality VX parts is more affordable..

    clares behind me now m8 she says we will save you the front ones.....but she did argue with vx and get the wheel bearing done under warranty.....

    it's a deal..... the price will make you wonder why you took it anywhere else..the pads and disc kit come in at 46 quid plus vat... it's not worth just doing the pads as they'll be about 35 quid.. just change the lot....

    top job on the bearing....

    haha no probs any chance of fixin my vec den if i finally decide to get one how much does it cost to get the wheel bearing fixed like

    Under Warranty m8 nothing obviously if you had to have it done out of warranty £273 now thats a rip off.

    it is steep.. but then the bearing for the front is 130 quid, or a nice round 100 for the rear.... slap on a couple of hours labour to change it and thats where the price comes from..

    it's always the labour thats the killer..avoid paying that and you can save a fortune..
