Smile Headlights Adjusted & Nightbreakers fitted - RESULTS??

My pre-facelift headlights were terrible so I used Duncans method to lift them up but still the light was poor although the reach was better.

Anyway, ordered me a set of Osram Nightbreaker Plus and the difference is astounding.

Couldnt believe it, I could actually see the road.

So, for anyone having the same problem as many others with poor pre-facelift headlights, DO IT. Adjust your headlights and change your bulbs.

Cheers guys on this forum for your tips. Im happier now that I can see where im going.

    Bye bye Vec B

I have the ring xenonmax 100%, are yours the 120%? Are they much better light-wise than the NB's?

I'm going to give some NB's a go. My preface lights are so poor that you struggle to even know if you have them on sometimes!

Lol.....I had exactly the same problem. NB's are much better, although I did have to adjust the headlight aim up a bit as well. I'm happy with the result - they're not wonderful still, but at least they're not dangerously bad now.

I fitted a set of Nightbreakers (ECP have the funky gold ones for £18.99) yesterday, and wound the aim up (which I'm sure I did before, but I suspect it got put back down at the last MOT) and have to say the difference over Halfords super-duper bright bulbs (the same price) is very noticeable. Not had chance to drive on a properly dark road without snow yet though, so can't really give a full opinion, but they're certainly better.

The roads that caused me most issues are worn country A roads where the white lines are covered in mud and the cats eyes are missing or dirty too. The reflectivity of the road surface and markings is what makes all the difference.
