    Question Lowering springs and shocks

hey guys i know this has probably been ask somewhere but im looking to lower my car. but only a little bit as i dont want it that noticeable and im more interested in improving the handling.

so im looking for say 10-20mm drop and to stiffen up the suspension a little. anybody know of any kits as most the kits i can find ar 40-60mm drops. i want something thats not to noticeable as im going to rewrap them in black so they look standard to the car.

if theres another thread that ive missed about this could you link me to it please

    best regards
    owen

What are you driving at the moment fella? A lot of the Vec's are already lowered by 15-20mm. So anything with a 30 drop is probably your best option! Eibach are the weapon of choice in this range, but can be a bit pricey for some especially when you're looking at shocks too.

Generally, springs for sale do not take into account factory lowered cars such as an SRi, but instead consider something like the LS. So springs advertised as a 30mm drop will drop a standard car by 30mm or a factory lowered car (which as previously said by stephen, is ~15mm) such as your SRi a suspension drop of ~15mm.

thank you. that makes sense. i may have to acquire some 30mm springs. do i have to replace shocks at the same time or can this be done later?
whats a reliable but cheap set of springs and shocks if needed?

Have a look here for ideas Owen (although they can probably be found a little bit cheaper, I like LMF for parts).

I'm looking at getting the Apex springs in the near future but the Prokit offers a 30mm drop. You'll get a better drive quality with new shocks (e.g Bilstein) but it's not essential you buy them right away, there's enough room on the standard shocks for reasonable drops without bottoming out the shocks.

just another thought but if i was to lower it by the extra 15mm then it will put all my camber out on why wheels.

can this be adjusted out by just getting the camber and alignment done or will i need to change some parts to adjust it

It seems a very popular choice of spring, I'd be surprised if it were to put the camber out but interested to know.
