Question Painted mudflaps - yes or no?

The vauxhall mudflaps are'nt the best looking things ever, they don't really enhance the appearance of the car much, hopefully they do protect the paint work.

I was thinking about colour coding them to match the car's paintwork, has anybody done this? What kind of plastic primer did you use? I take it people have used the normal vauxhall aerosol and clearcoat?

By way, do they actually do an XP rear moulded mudflap anyone?... Saw a VXR with moulded mudflaps on, need a set of rear ones for the CDTI, if have to be customised think the fronts might fit better?!?

Deffinettly colour code them what i do as well before spraying them is to soak them in a apc to get all the oil of the plastic then soak them in just hot water for a bit .
Then spray with an adhesion promoter before the primer , it gives the plastic a base coat that flexes with the plastic and helps stop flaking

You wouldn't fit side skirts or a splitter without painting them, they're more of an extension to the body kit than a mud flap its a no brainer really CC every time,I've got them coded and the flat rally style ones screwed to them as well as others have on here looks well tbh, well imo anyway
