Before you go spending hundreds of hours trying to shoehorn the LET into a C, have a look at how tuneable the NET is - 300BHP is achievable.

Yup, definitely depends what you want to achieve fella. The standard Maptun "out of the box" tuning for the Z20NET goes up to 300bhp if your wallet's deep enough but as Nige says the sky's the limit.

Mine's currently running 240bhp, Nige's running around 285bhp ish at the moment for example and there's a lot of guys on the forum running figures up to 300bhp.

a straight swap as its the bascially same block.. both derived from the Lotus designed 2.2 a number of years back..

The Z20NET is just a version of the 2.2 so to speak, saab took the 2.2 and made the 2.0t from it, they have good history of producing turbocharged engines and stuck it their MY2003 onwards 9-3 Aero. Saab call it the B207 (i think the B207E is a 1.8 with a Garrett turbo, B207L is 2.0t with a Garrett and the B207R is the 2.0T with the Mitsubish turbo used in the Aero), GM obviously quite liked what they did with it and decided to use it in the vectra/Signum and also then started putting into various GM yank cars and called it the LK9 engine. Thats summarising the story somewhat but you get the basic picture of where it comes from and how similar it is..

It also points as to why the tuning for the Z20NET in Europe is led by Saab tuners...
