Default HIDS - use the existing bulb holders

My HIDS kit didn't come with bulb holders but I've been looking at the existing holder and the metal clip that does the holding into the headlamp can be seperated from the black electrical connector.

Has anyone done it this way or am I best off just getting some new HID bulb holders? I wonder if it will be too loose to work properly.

Edit - just had a quick look on ebay and the metal bulb holders listed for a vectra/signum loom just like the metal bit of the existing holder.

I can answer my own question - YES!!!

I used the existing metal bit and have just fitted my HIDS and they look superb.

I'm well chuffed to be honest, it was all relatively easy really. I might in future take the bumper off to get the headlight units out and stick the ballasts there but for now they are securely cable-tied to the cross member on the drivers side and the battery box on the passangers.

I left them on for 15 mins to burn in. They look good, pure white and with the mtec super whites and osrams in the main my lights are now nice bright and white.
