    Default Very interesting car

I wonder what the noise would be? could be anything or nothing if it was low level flooding,,,

I'd love this one if it were a simple fix

Yip for the money it could be a £10 fix or a full teardown and rebuild but for the money if I had it, I'd take the punt happily

    I wouldn't touch it!
Its being sold by a garage, if it was an easy fix they would do it themseves and double their money. Pretending they don't know what's wrong with it is just a ploy to get someone to tke a chance and buy it

I was contemplating a short motor cost on top and then run it myself,,,

if it starts, it cant be that bad mechanically, the issue is perhaps with the electrics. maybe a fried ecu

you would think they would strip the engine down, replace the bits and double their money on it

Nah, I'm with Phil881 on this one. If it was something that trivial, they would fix it themselves and sell it on as repaired. Unless you are prepared for the eventuality that it may need some serious work done on it, then I wouldn't go anywhere near it.
