steering click

hi guys im having a strange problem with my 08 vectra when im turning the car left you can feel a click in the steering wheel and a sound from behind the steering wheel i checked everything outside the car.. cars still running fine just one of them things thats buggin me.. anyone have any advice??

Just had exactly the same problem - it was a 5 min fix for me.

Inside the engine bay, drivers side there is a knuckle/universal joint coming through the bulkhead, connecting the steering shaft to the steering rack. The bolt holding said knuckle on was ever so slightly loose. I think it was 13mm, and you will need a ratchet (not spanner as there is not enough room).

I had this problem - following that advice I managed to tighten the bolt on the steering knuckle by a what felt like no more than a millionth of a degree, but it sorted it; no more 'clunk' when full-lock was on.
