    Default Turning into geek

After having suspension arms replaced last week then new rear brake pads Tuesday, (apparently had totally wrong ones fitted) enjoyed my drive home from work with no twitchy back end or rattle. It was short lived when had flat battery wed morning. Today have fitted new battery much bigger than old 1 so getting impression car has been poorly maintained. The battery tray was filthy so spent an hour cleaning it so looks like new, had numb fingers, before fitting new battery. Is this enthusiastic or sad.

It depends on who you talk to whether it's enthusiastic or sad... personally I would love to get out and spend some time on the smaller details, hell the chance to hoover it would be a fine thing... but no, I don't think it's sad, you are looking after what interests you. A mate of mine used to wax his car in his garage at 11 O'clock at night because he preferred the cool air and the peace and quiet so he could concentrate and not miss a spot... definitely not a bad thing.

There is a bit of geek in all of us, but we are sometimes geeky about different thinks. I would not worry about a few items needing attention. This give me some satifaction solving some of the niggles. I had great fun cleaning the throttle body on my 2.2 petrol. Made it very shiny and the car starting was massively mproved. T Fixed the Passenger front window switch, very satisfying.
Most geeeky I rember was many years about, when ever i polished my mark 1 red Astra, I always removed the front and rear bumpers. The difference was amazing!
    Geeks rule!

I think ye maybe right. Next job is leak in boot. Read up about aerial and does appear perished. Have seen There is loads of cheap fixes, vw seal, silicone it........... Don't think can bring myself to do quick fix and will have to buy new new aerial base from vauxhall, even at ripoff price.
