I haven't tried this one, but if you have signed up to Masterfit Club you are then eligible for a 25% discount off parts and service at Vx Man Dealers if your car is 3 years old or older. So, sign up (it's free ) and then ask "parts" at your Vx dealer again but this time tell them you are a member. It's got to be worth a try mate. Lookers Warrington started off with me, by saying that the discount only applied to parts fitted during work carried out by them. However, when I sent an email to Customer Service at Vx, it very quickly got the parts dept put wise to the deal on offer by Vx to their driver members , and they now discount the parts even if they don't do the work.

Hope this helps, why not try it and report back ?

wonder if theyll take this offer for payment then

'Right now when you sign up you'll get a £40 voucher to use against your next service, accessory or parts purchase. Offer ends 31st March 2013.'

My understanding is that the £40 voucher is exactly that mate, something to welcome you to the service club. They discounted my parts by 25% and took the voucher off the balance, and so by using my voucher I was left paying around £35 for parts that would normally have cost me around £100.

Yes, I think you'll find that if you READ the email, it tells you to do just that (assuming that you have actually received it that is )

My car came without the security code or radio code so I e-mailed the garage that registered the car and they go back to me with the security and radio codes as well as the key number. I didn't even have to prove I owned the car!! That was a dealer in Stoke-on-Trent - their stamp was in my service book on the Vehicle Delivery, Predelivery Inspection page.
