    Default Cam belt!!

    When a bought the car i got paper work with it stateing that the engine had a rebuild so i wrang up to confirm that an it was right!!!
    But nows the time i have to get intake manifold done and was wondering wether to get cam belt done at same time according
    to the gaff at vauxhall he says 100 thousand miles or ten years either way wich ever is soonest. the cars done 71 since that an would it be safe to just keep going or are they renound for going erly!!!!!!! Cheers

    get it done now for piece of mind mate i got mine done at 70k and get the waterpump done also

    Not worth risking it. Water pumps can fail before the 100k cambelt interval, snapping the belt

    i got the cambelt kit and waterpump fitted at dealers for 400 but claimed it back from aa warranty

    Vauxhall reduced it to 8 years or 80k too.

    Get the cambelt, tensioners and water pump all done.

    Aye its right like just been on ebay an ya can get the cam kit with water pump for 120!!
    not bad when ya think of the outcome of belt snappin lol thats all a need

    Cambelt"water pump"inlet manifold" All to done next thursda carnt wait sick of been paranoind an drivin like a ****in NUN ha ha cheers

    My water pump seized on tuesday and damn near took the belt with it. Changed less than a year ago according to the service history. Go genuine parts mate.

    lucky there then an a will be mate the garage is gettin them i aint got the time
    shes in next friday to get water pump,cambelt,inlet manifold done!!!!
    Im payin a little extra over odds but like you say its worth it and ill get me paper work off it for history always better if a wanna sell up next year
