Just noticed that the article has a Jan 2006 date, but I assume it still applies (it must be true, todays Sun says it is).

Yep, the Vectra Estate has come out as class leader in a number of reports.

Do you think a Vec estate rear seat unit could be transplanted into a Signum, seat belts an all?

I ask cos the Signum is available, but Vec estates are quite rare and the Sig seats in the rear wont pass the council test.

In a word - no. The floor of the Signum in the back (under the seats) is completely different to the Estate.

I think VV must be referring to the centre seat and some councils therefore saying it can't carry four passengers. I've seen a Signum down here that's an airport taxi and it had the license plate thing on the back saying for four passengers, so it must be something that varies between authorities.
