Thanks again pal
Right... Got an email today and the eBay place sending it says there was a problem with the part so have refunded my costs, I was down at vauxhall today picking up some stuff so just quieted the price from there. They came up with part number 55190813.
This was from the engine search and not plate however as private plate, so which is right guys, look same online
Sorry this is 7 years late, but I have recently become fluent in this area of the engine as my car which is a vectra c 1.9 cdti 150 on a 09 plate BUT with a engine change in the past from apreviose owner due to it dropping a injector, and I’m guessing it may have been from a older version of vectra pre 2007 that requires the belt tensioner numbered 55190813, however I’ve found that the seized belt tensioner on mine is the age appropriate numbered 55561330 BB , however when removed the peg locating hole in the engine Block looks like it’s more suited to the older model tensioner 55190813 . allso the belt that’s on at the moment is measuring 1463 mm in length instead of 1413 mm which is standard size for that car with air con ,another indicator that a mechanic has stuck on a larger belt to accommodate the tensioner sitting in the wrong position, so your car was defiantly the 55190813 tensioner if it was a 04 vectra 1.9 cdti, incidentally the difference between the two appears to be the height from the base that push’s against the engine block and the outer edge of the pully, the older version 55190813 measures 90 mm and the newer one 55561330 measures 83.1 mm, they may allso sit at slightly different angles meaning they keep the correct tension on the belt when used on the correct car, although I haven’t proved this as I would have to buy and fit both , at this point I’m trying to work it out from looking at pictures, if any one else has found themselves in the same situation I’d be interested to know if what I just said was right about them sitting in different positions if the correct one isn’t used, perhaps the peg hole is located a bit further round on the engine block.
