    Default Temporary boost gauge

    Evening.

Will be fitting a boost gauge to the car in the next week or so but only as a temporary thing to test some things out. Don't want a permanent install so I'm just going to pick up a mechanical one. Question is, what's the best way to connect it up and keep it removable? I've got a full silicone hose set on the car which is great (means I've got the odd spare hose) so if I was to drill a small hole in the old hose going to the throttle body, I could tap into there for boost and just replace it with my silicone one with no holes in when I'm done. What would be the best way of getting a connector in the pipe though? Not sure on that bit!

    Cheers.

If it's just for testing purposes, how about a OBD adapter and phone app, cheap scan tool or similar. Saves mucking about getting pipework from the engine bay to the interior.

Paul, what size hose did you use to connect it up? I've picked up a cheap Autogauge mechanical gauge but I can't find any info on what size hose it takes. I've got a few metres of 5mm vac hose kicking round but I'm sure that'll be too big. What did you use?

Mr Teapot - thought about it but it wouldn't be quick enough. Will be looking for boost spikes etc.
