Your other Car?

Hi all.
Just want to check with those of you that have another car.
My Wife and I just had our first child in September and now that he's becoming more alert we're trying to get him out & about a bit more.

I currently have the Vectra - 2007 120 Sri. My wife's car is a 2001 Megane Coupe. As it is only 3 door it limits her travel. Although it's a bit old now she only bought it for £4k when it was 4 year old, and hasn't had a problem once. So we are nervous about giving up on it.

Before we take the leap I just wanted to check what everyone else has as a second car. We would need it to be a 5 door at least, but not fussed on size. I wouldn't mind a wee 1.2 go-kart that I can go Euro crazy on and let her take the Vectra so would welcome any views or opinions.

Realistic budget is about 5k or up to 7k for a larger car.

I have a 2008 Vectra XP2 150 CDTI in Star Silver, my good lady had a 2008 Vectra SRI CDTI 150 in Star Silver!

We changed all our vehicles last year, we had a Pug 307d estate ( a great car ) and a Pug Boxer van, now got, a Frontera ( 1995, really a toy ) , a 55 plate Signum cdti ( mine, best car I've owned ) and a Corsa Actve 12 plate, looks a bit like an Sri, great spec and good on fuel, bought on interest free terms witha good deal.

Our daily drive is the siggy 1.9 cdti 120 elegance, great car, but my even greater car is a BMW M3 3.2 evo coupe.

Good mixture already.
Not sure I could stretch to Beemer tbh Shineysig (ya luck git).

A lot of double vec / sig combo's too, I suppose that's an option, just thought it might have been a bit weird, but I suppose if you know and trust a car then why try anything different. Always wanted a Signum...an elite would be a bonus, or a GSI Vec hmmm. Food for thought.

I have my Saab 9-3 TTID 180 Estate commuting car, Wife has a Vec C 2006 120 as her commuting car and we (she) also has a 2009 Beetle 'vert as her "until we have kids" car.
